The reality is that the The Jim Henson Company ended their partnership with Chick-fil-A due to its funding of homophobic causes and organizations. Chick-fil-A's Chief Operating Officer has been outspoken about his business being a Christian organization and used that as a justification for it decision to fund the anti-gay agenda. In a Facebook post from this past Friday, the Jim Henson Company said the following:
The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors. Lisa Henson, our CEO is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chick-Fil-A to GLAAD.
It's ironic how Chick-fil-A uses a biblical justification for being anti-gay, yet it apparently blatantly lies when the Bible says "Thou shalt not bear false witness." More right-wing hypocrisy.
