The California State legislature is debating a bill that would require public schools to teach the contribution of LGBT individuals and groups to American history. Senator Mark Leno talked to MSNBC's Thomas Roberts about it yesterday.
Even though Senator Leno wouldn't speak for Governor Jerry Brown (and rightfully so), I'm pretty sure that Brown will sign it seeing how gay-friendly he is (he supports Proposition 8's repeal...among other things).
